The stuffed mushrooms, the blue cheese chips, and the Sheppards pie are a must! Great service too!

I have a hard time figuring out why I can't develop a love for O'Brions...maybe it's their mediocre food? Maybe it's the lack of character? I dont really know exactly what it is but I rarely find myself choosing this as a place I want to go for food or just to enjoy a few drinks. They have done a nice job with the place, tvs everywhere, including multiple ones in the bathroom to watch while taking a leak...but it's really open...just a big box with a tables all through the middle, a few booths on one side, and the bar up against the front. They serve booze though so more than likely when I'm out in the Park West area i'll still stop in.

I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! We walked in on a Sunday evening at 5:45. We ordered a glass of wine and a beer. Considered the menu and saw four men at the bar acting like fools. We ordered dinner and thought maybe they would leave. Within 20 minutes one of the men tried to get up from his barstool and fell back down. The bartender (female) then mixed them all a blue drink shot. They shared them with the wait staff. There was no manager in sight. SHAME ON YOU RESTARAUNT! NONE OF YOUR SERVERS SHOULD BE DOING THISI They continued to act and sound really drunk. Yes, I hate to say the word, DRUNK, but these guys were three and a half sheets. As we were served dinner, I commented to the gal serving us that the guys were pretty over hammered. She said that they had been there since 1:00. As my husband and I were eating our meal, the drunk man who could hardly walk exited the restaurant. I got up from my table and asked his "friends" if he was driving. They all shrugged. I went out to the parking lot and stopped him from backing out of his space. He could not form a word. He could not see. I said I was going to call 911 if he didn't give me his keys. One of his "friends" asked me to chill out and took him away. They came back five minutes later and drove his car off. Shame on this restaurant. Shame on his friends. Shame on me for not calling 911.

Good bar food and great staff. They have a cool outdoor section and the prices are reasonable.

Yummy wings! Thai chili and hot were perfectly fried. We had dinner at the bar-our bartender Ashley was the sweetest and she wrote down a list of places to visit during our vacay in SC. My hubby was feeling under the weather and she made him a hot toddy! Decent bar grub-big clear TV to watch the game and super friendly crowd. We stayed across the street at the Inn and it was a great bar to walk over and have a night cap!

I ended up here to watch football and it was great to see so many big tvs. Unfortunately the food is bad which sucks because of its convenient location in Ion. Wings were overdone, fries are bland shoestrings, and beer selection is average (with minimal local beer options). Menu items are typical bar choices but execution is substandard and nothing worth returning for.

O'Brion's is a totally solid pub! Good food, good drinks, and plenty of TVs for your Sunday football watching. The bar area is typically rather full, though the few times we've been there, the seating area was fairly empty. We've never had an issue getting a seat, and it's not too loud for the little one. I think the best thing I've had here is the wedge salad, which is, literally, a wedge of iceberg lettuce, with a great dressing, bleu cheese crumbles, bacon, etc. Great salad, and a good quantity of food. This isn't the cheapest place, but they have a freaking TV in the men's bathroom, which is right in your view, when you're taking a leak. If that's not both innovative and beneficial to your NFL Sunday Funday, I don't know what is. Parking is also not the easiest around here, as they've got a small lot, and share it with some other businesses, but you can go around the corner and grab a spot behind some of the other businesses on the triangle.

Totally decent pub. Watch out - when your sandwiches are $10/piece and you have a few rounds of drinks watching the game, you can easily accidentally have a $90 afternoon.

This place was disgusting. I came here with a friend for some pub food and was extremely disappointed. Granted I didn't have any beer, and I was here for lunch, so I wasn't able to properly experience the "bar" scene, but this review is based solely on the food. We got the home chips, the grilled cheese and tomato soup special, and the chicken parmesan wrap. The home chips were decent, but there was WAY too much bleu cheese, and they were WAY too salty. I'm not a big bleu cheese fan to begin with, so I was nervous about these chips in the first place. They were smothered in bleu cheese, and very little cheese sauce to counter the strength of the bleu. They were also salted to the nines. I hate excessive salt more than anything, I almost never salt or pepper anything extra. These chips were inedible because you had to chug a glass of water with every bite. yuck. Next was the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese had bacon in it, which sounded perfect. I don't know how you can make a disgusting grilled cheese, but they succeeded. The cheese wasn't even melted and the bacon was burnt. The tomato soup was actually the best part of the whole meal, I don't know if they make it themselves or if it was pre-made but it was half decent. The chicken parm wrap was very interesting. I split this with my friend so I only had half, and I'm pretty sure I got the bad half because my friend said hers wasn't so bad. Mine was dry, my chicken was over cooked and the whole wrap part was just weird. I don't think a chicken parm sub should come as a wrap, but I was interested in trying it. Now my friend said hers was a bit better, but still nothing to write home about. All in all I will never be back to this place, the food was lackluster and rather gross, and the atmosphere didn't impress me enough to want to come back for a beer at happy hour.

I made 2 trips to Obrions recently. 1st time was because none of the nearby restaurants were open. Luckily, they were and I experienced a very good dinner and beer. This is nothing fancy but the food and drinks are good, service is friendly...what more can you ask for?

Maybe their beer is good and cold, but food and service was not so... French Onion soup tasted very sour., and the meat in the shepherds pie tasted rotten. The nickle and dimed us as well. Charged an extra 1.99 for onion rings for my sons kids meal, bring the total for the childrens meal to $7.98. Also charged 1.95 for chips for my mother-in-laws meal. The waitress did not note it when we ordered. On top of that when i asked about it I was told that's the way it is. I asked on the receipt for the manager to call me... no call. Service was a little rough and abrupt. Two or three times the waitress referred to my son as her, even though i corrected her each time. To bad we just moved to the area, and wanted to find a cool place to watch the games. We wont be back.. What a shame.

Despite the somewhat mediocre ratings we read about for O'Brion's we decided to give it a try on Saturday, 10/12/13 and we are glad we did - it was GREAT!!!! The service was GREAT! Our waitress, Meagan, was GREAT! The atmosphere was GREAT! And the multiple TVs (all showing different college games) was GREAT! We were seated right away and Meagan appeared a few minutes after we looked over the menu to take our order - the food took 15 minutes to get to our table and was hot and the beer was cold. As far as the cost, we found the prices were no more or less than any other sports bar/restaurant in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area charge. When we visit the area again we will be sure to stop by O'Brion's for another day of food, beer and college football!

Cute location, decent food but it was painfully slow!!!! We got there at 7pm and didn't place our order till 7:35 despite requesting to do so twice, and didn't receive our food till 8:30pm! Not fun w/ a table full of kids!

New to the area, and now a new weekly stop. The service is friendly, and trivia night on Tuesdays (along with the half-price burgers) is a great way to recover from the Mondays.

The absolute best fried mushrooms in town. And the potroast sliders are to die for. Cold beer great food and an awesome atmosphere. I love this place!

We went here for Monday night football and they had every game on with tons of large TV screens. They even have a large couch in front of a fireplace with a huge TV. This is the kind of place I could hang out and watch football at all day. The food was very good and the place is the cleanest Irish pub I have ever been to. Maybe I am just used to divy SF pubs, but seriously, this pub/bar is about as clean and nice as they come. I hear their home made potato chips are excellent but I didn't try them.
